For over a decade I have been working within the education system in New Zealand, and from the early child hood centers and Kohanga Reos right through to high school. The Early Child hood curriculum is based on the weave of community supporting the child, providing a container and way of life that encourages our tamariki to feel a sense of community, connection and involvement in projects that support their feeling of commitment and completion when they start something. The web and weave of life should remain supportive as we grow, and this piece of heART work provides the viewer with my perspective on Te Whariki, how I weave and desire as an adult the same things as I did as a child. Trust, Love, support, family, heart centered communities and space to expand as an individual while being supported by the WHOLENESS of community.
